What an incredible experience with the staff at Lucky devil tattoos. It's our wedding anniversary so we called last minute and Code was able to squeeze us in for a quick tattoo. The shop is clean and spacious. Code is extremely personable and talented. It felt like hanging with old friends, great vibe. Absurdly horrible customer service. Think twice before considering this tattoo shop if you plan on your experience being an enjoyable one. As a person that works in customer relations I am appalled at the fact that the counter person at this shop is even allowed to greet clients at the Barrie location. I have been a long time client at Lucky Devil and I am no longer going to be. People walk into tattoo shops hoping for a good experience and to have fun. This shop puts a stop to that the second you walk in the door because they are greeted by a cranky mouthy girl behind the counter the second they walk in the door. That is of she even gets off her phone long enough to even say hi.. Upon sitting in the waiting area waiting for your turn to get tattooed, you're stuck over hearing the counter girl talk filth and complain the entire time. F*** this, F*** that, F*** everything. Non stop negative talk filled with foul language and personal things that have no place in a work place. It's almost like she has absolutely nothing good to say and you'd seear that her life is so miserable that she has nothing better to do than make everyone feel uncomfortable and miserable to be there. The fact that there is people there with children and it is a place of business makes this shop look very unprofessional and low class. I have a couple tattoos from Cody and want more but I will no longer step foot in that shop and spend my money. Which is very unfortunate for the people tattooing there because this so called 'counter person' is causing the business she works for to lose money as far as I'm concerned because of her horrible attitude problem. I will no longer be getting tattooed by Cody unless he works at another studio or goes somewhere else to tattoo for a period of time. I am not interested in hearing some childish woman complain about her entire life and the whole world any more and will take my business to a more mature and professional establishment and spend money at a shop that understands that people go to tattoo studios for an enjoyable time and a GOOD experience. I encourage anyone that is wanting to spend their money go elsewhere as well unless they actually enjoy listening to a miserable human being complain about everything under the sun and speak in foul language then give you endless snooty attitude for even asking a simple question. It's sad that a person that is basically paid to deal with a businesses clients is making people not want to ever return to that business. Upon asking around just to see if anyone else thought the same thing, when I ask people about Lucky Devil the first thing people mention is that the work is great but you have to sacrifice hoping to enjoy your stay because of this person. So the word is out that it's not a very good place to go. Great artists, extremely bad customer service that makes the place look like a joke in the public's eyes. After reading several other reviews about Lucky Devil I saw that there were several bad ones with the same opinion. Leading me to believe that this business just doesn't care about this issue at all. Which is sad because they're losing money and potential clients, which to me is what being in business is all about. I contemplated even leaving this review but want the public to know that this is a horrible shop to walk into and unless you want to hear some miserable person complain and swear like she's at home sitting on her couch with friends on a rampage about her miserable life. Please do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Maybe you'll be lucky enough somewhere else being greeted by a person that is an actual people person who knows their job is to be nice and make you feel welcome rather than hated for being there disturbing her foul vocabulary and talking to you as is you're stupid for asking general questions you may have regarding your new experience. Do not ever go to Lucky Devil, you'll be happier somewhere else and hopefully treated like a human being and hey, maybe even have a good time too! Got a flash piece done by Cody D'Amico and I'm super impressed with it. Absolutely love it! Cody is super sweet and really friendly. He keeps the conversation flowing nicely to help keep your mind off of the pain. Everyone at the shop is very friendly. I got my nipple pierced about two weeks ago. Everything was going fine but I was a little hesitant about why she pierced me with a ring and not a bar like my other nipple I got done a few years ago. Since I got the piercing I've made sure to take great care of it and clean it. Recently I've been in and out of the hospital because it got so badly infected. Swelling like a rock inside my breast. Red ness all around my whole breast. I've had so many piercings and this is the only horrible experience I've had. Lol don't recommend at all. Read Less

Been going to Lucky Devil for about 10 years now, even from before they moved across the street to where they are now. Always been a great time and welcoming happy environment. They include you in their jokes when you walk through the door as if you've always been there. Brock was my original piercer and Brian has taken over through the changes. My mom and I just got tattooed yesterday by Garth and he did and amazing job. Made up feel very comfortable and explained everythi...ng clearly instead of us sitting there wondering what was happening. Was very encouraging throughout the pain, between Garth and Code we had our own little cheer team keeping us positive. I went here cause I had heard from friends that it was a good place. The girl behind the counter wasn't that frendly but she answers all my questions. The girl that did my percing wasn't that great. The chair was broken so I had to sit instead of lying down. She put the percing in on a angle do much that a week later I had to take it out. When I called to ask questions. They said they had no idea what I was talking about but if I want to drive an hour to go see them they would look at it. Read Less

Bryan is by far the best piercer I've ever been to. I refer everyone to this shop! I wouldn't trust anyone else putting holes in my body lol! I got both a tattoo and piercings here. The tattoo is fine, probably could have been better but I don't mind it. The piercings however were completely off, and slanted into each other so badly they couldn't heal correctly. I had another piercer take a look and he was shocked they allowed me to leave the shop that way. Needed one removed in order to save the other, complete waste of money. Read Less

Wow. I have never been mistreated the way I was mistreated here. A friend and I walked into the shop inquiring if they had any walk-in availability (not even knowing if they take walk-ins or not, it was just an inquiry) and the front reception was immediately incredibly rude. The girl rudely asked "well what do you want?" and this is clearly a tattoo AND piercing shop, I said a tattoo, followed by her laughing in my face and replying with "well obviously, but what is it, I need to see what it is". Her condescending and judgemental attitude made us feel like we did something wrong, but we continued to deal with this now awkward and embarrassing situation by describing that what we wanted was small and simple design. She then interrupted us to rudely say that she needed a picture (yes, we get that), and although we were in shock with how we were being treated, we asked if she had any paper and a pen so we could show her. She then proceeded to literally throw paper and a pen at us on the counter. It was then that we decided to take our business elsewhere. I felt embarrassed and inadequate with her treatment towards us, as there were a few people in the waiting area that witnessed this. When we left the shop, a tattoo artist was taking a break outside, and he was just shaking his head as if this treatment was to no surprise. It was as if just because I don't have any visible tattoos (which, by the way, both my friend and I have several tattoos so this was not our first rodeo) that I was judged and felt that I should not be in there. Meh. I walked in to this place for the first time and wanted to know which of their artists would be best for my mandala tattoo. The girl at the desk didn't give me any info or advice about the artists. She told me I had to choose the artist myself after looking through samples of their work. I will be going with another shop who really know's their artist's skills and specialties. Read Less
