I got a tattoo done by Kristen a little while ago which I love and a friend of mine saw it and was wondering if Wolf Sheep is wheelchair accessible. I am fully aware that their main entrance is a flight of stairs but for all I knew there could be a service elevator or something. I stood in Wolf Sheep for about 10 minutes until finally this guy with tattoos all over his head (Brian?) comes over and our conversation went like this: "Hey, I was wondering if you guys are wheelchair accessible?" "Does it look like we're wheelchair accessible." Then he just walked away from me. It was extremely rude and I'm pretty sure I'm not going back due to this and the fact that my appointment was double booked and had to be rescheduled even though I was already sitting there waiting to be tattooed. Travelled from Ontario to spend two weeks on the island, and made an impromptu decision to get some mountains inked! Did a walk in consultation and was able to be scheduled in within the week. The second I described what I wanted, the person who initially greeted me connected me with the artist Ben who apparently does the type of tattoo I described frequently!! I am more than happy with the finished product, and would definitely come back to BC and get tattooed by him again. I went in to see Brian for a new piece and a touch up. The touch up turned out amazing, more than I asked for or could've imagined. He added some extra detail, that the original artist didn't do, and it really changes the look of it. The new piece was my sons name and birth flower on my foot which turned out badass, which Brian drew up in a matter of minutes. The lettering on the tattoo perfectly lines up with the strap of my flip flop, which I wasn't even wearing when he out...lined the area. It is incredible. BRIAN IS A LEGIT TATTOO GENIUS. All the staff there are so nice, and welcoming. I'll be booking my next appointment asap, and then another, and another, and I won't ever go anywhere else. Got my business for life. I came sort of on a whim because my friend asked that we make an appointment for my first tattoo. We talked to the person at the front desk and I told him what I wanted and to my surprise they were able to fit me in that day even though it was close to their closing time. I had a pretty good experience here and my dad was looking to get his first tattoo so i suggested he comes here. I went to his appointment with him and we spoke with an artist about what he wanted. I understand that most of the time the artist knows whats best but basically all my dads ideas were shot down and the artist was trying to convince him to make it look very different. At the end of the day its going on the customers body so i think a little more flexibility would h...ave been nice. Anyways, we leave the ideas with the artist, he draws something up and my dad hates it. He sends his ideas back and was assured that something else would be drawn up on the tattoo day. Hopeful it has been fixed, we show up to the actual tattoo appointment and the artist is away sick? Uh? A phone call would have been nice, and the shop had no idea that the guy had an appointment booked but another artist says he will draw something up right then and hopefully get it done that day. He does that and again, it is absolutely nothing like my dad wanted, he even specified that he didnt want something in the tattoo and that thing is all over the drawing. We leave furious and i have to say, i probably won't ever come back because the whole experience was pretty unprofessional. And of course my dad lost the deposit he gave at the first meeting. I wandered the streets of Victoria for a day with a rudimentary concept in mind, to get a feel for the many shops we have here. Most of the interactions I had were more or less the same "Yeah, we can work on you if you want"; plainly, not the level of interest I had hoped for. As I came to talk with the staff at the front desk, Eric [Owner/Operator] overheard me. This was the only occasion where the conversation showed promise. My experience at wolf sheep has been out standing my artist Brian has been amazing & the results are out standing in the beginning I had a hard time trusting in this process but his level of expertise & passion for what he does has really helped me trust in the process together with Brian's level of skill and my vision for the sleeve he is creating I couldn't be happier I would recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled artist to work on them.
