I had 2 helix piercings done by Amus recently and I was extremely impressed by her. She was super friendly and hygienic, changed her gloves multiple times, and made the experience as painless as possible. A lot of people have told me cartilage piercings take a long time to heal and that they can't sleep on that side for 6+ months, but mine are healing much faster than expected and don't hurt much at all. It's been 3 days and I can already lay on that side without much pain. I was so happy with the experience that I'll be back this week for another. I highly recommend this place and especially Amus! I would put no star if I could. I was extremely disappointed with my customer service: my boyfriend and I who were visiting saw this place as a 5 star studio, so we jumped to it. I had fallen sick so I couldn’t get my tattoo done (which I was okay with) however the tattoo artist decided she didn’t want to do my boyfriends because it was her day off (she gave her word beforehand that she’d do it anyway, we did not ask her to do this, she suggested it herself.) she called me a “flaky” customer and kept my deposit and cancelled my boyfriends appointment the night before it was to happen. The last time I was here was 6 years ago. The place has been renovated which does give a more exciting vibe. It used to be kind of "grimy" so to speak with yellers camp outside the door. The shop now is clean and neat. There is no shop manager beside the tattoo artists so be patient and listen to the voicemail. Call ahead before you drop in so you won't be disappointed.
