I would never go anywhere else for a piercing. Justin is very clean and professional. All my piercings done by him at the shop are perfect and healed wonderfully. I am actually terrified of hollow-point needles, but I go to Blank Gen. for all my piercings because Justin's been piercing since either 1994 or 1996 with training in San Francisco at Fakir's Intensives, and he is professional, rad, patient, and will make you feel really comfortable; he's definitely talked me through each entire process and distracted me from each piercing by telling jokes and stories, and there's been a couple times he's changed my jewellery free of cost and replaced a couple beads that I lost off of my barbells for free. I'm not sure why there are people saying that Blank Gen. is rude as Justin is very adaptable and I've never seen him be the slightest bit unfriendly to anybody in the five years I've seen him. He's pierced me six times so far and I plan on seeing him for at least three more in the future. Justin is the bee's knees, hips, clavicle, and elbows and I highly recommend him for your piercing needs.... and if that wasn't enough to sway you, the place is decked out in cool video game, comic, tv, and horror movie memorabilia and there's always an old horror or classic flick playing on the DVD player; also, once I got pierced on Halloween and he was dressed as Batman! Got a tattoo done here, came back after it had healed for some SMALL touch up work, as I wasn't completely happy with a few things. Was told after showing what I wanted touched up, that I "was being too picky". I'm the one who has this on her skin for LIFE! Got the appointment for the touch up work, which would've taken all of 5 mins with one color (BLACK). Show up for my appointment, and get told "I ran out of ink". What kind of a tattoo artist says this, let alone runs out of BLACK ink? Needless to say, I have yet to go back for touch up work, don't recommend ANYONE to this shop and I refuse to pay someone else to fix HIS work. Read Less

We bought a gift certificate for Blank Generation but it ended up having an expiry date which we missed. I thought in Canada expiry dates on gift certificates weren't even allowed but I guess on some services they are (although I have asked other similar places and their certificates don't expire). Because some services are exempt they I guess I am in the wrong 'legally'. However they did take our cash without providing anything in return which I think is pretty lame. I didn't ask for a refund but a credit towards some piercing jewelry. They were not required to honour my request however they chose cash over future customer relations. Since then we have dealt with Painted Lotus and have had much more positive experiences. So much for me wanted supporting old punks. I wont be back. Read Less

I recently got my nose pierced at this spot. Justin was super patient and kind, and very thorough in explaining the procedure and after care. I've had my piercing now for a week and I couldn't be more happy. The prices were also very reasonable for everything.
