I first walked in this shop as a fresh skinned tattooless wide eyed kid not knowing the first thing about tattoo's or tattoo culture. I was recommended to this shop from various friends as well as other notable tattoo artists. They said if you are serious about having something on you for the rest of your life, then this is the place. From the first time I walked in the staff were so friendly and accommodating which is fantastic because it can be a little intimidating walking into a shop knowing nothing! Nick Matovich made time to really show me the ropes and was patient and accommodating, always making knowledgeable recommendations when I had a thousand different half thought out ideas. I was so pleased with my first tattoo from Five Fathoms, that I now have seven more from here. Jeremy Mathieson also did 3 for me and I am equally impressed by the pieces. 12/10 would recommend even if you live outside of Vernon! My litte brother died recently in a workplace accident. My sister, sister-in-law, my brother's best friend, and I all decided to get memorial tattoes. Five Fathoms accommodated us on relatively short notice and Dan did all four of our tattoes in an afternoon. We were blown away by Dan's work - he has a gentle hand, clean, precise lines, and was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with. Went there for my first tattoo, Nick did an amazing job not only on the tattoo but dealing with a person getting a first tattoo.
