I am absolutely enthralled with my experience here. I came in on a walk-in basis, and would definitely book months in advance to come here again. Not only does my tattoo look amazing, with clean lines and great details and shading done in a short amount of time -- but I seen tons of absolute quality work leave there as well. I left the shop 30 mins ago or so and have been complimented on mine quite a number of times already. I definitely recommend Rick, my artist for today. I'm super impressed. My son and I went to The Fall on a walk in basis to get a couple piercings done and right from the time we walked in the door it was a great experience. Matt was amazing, funny and very professional. Made sure we were both happy with placement before proceeding with the actual piercing. Took lots of time with us, never felt rushed. Place was chill and very clean. Whether a first timer or a pro, they will match you with an artist that suits your vision, and will provide the utmost care, patience and respect throughout the whole process. I went in with the idea for a rather large back piece to cover a small, old, faded tattoo from my youth. I am so thankful that Jordan was patient and kind as I clearly bit off more than I could chew  :P   Two sessions and several hours later I have a tattoo that I could not be more proud of!! Very happy that I stopped into The Fall when considering my most recent tattoo. Big space. Bright, clean, and comfortable with plenty of friendly and knowledgeable staff. I told them my preference for colourless tattoos with clean lines and they introduced me to to the perfect artist for my taste.We sat and I explained what I wanted. The artist's enthusiasms over what I had described gave me confidence. His design was perfect based on what I had described. I was in the chair one day later. I got my nipples pierced here and they were done horribly! I wanted them horizontal and they are both incredibly lop sided. The lady doing the piercings looked very unprofessional. She was wearing slippers and inappropriate clothing. I understand that this is a tattoo parlour and it's causal and laid back but she could have looked more presentable than slippers and to work. I should have known off the bat not to go there to get the piercings. The piercer is clearly not experienced so I would recommend going somewhere else. The Fall is pricy. I got a simple ear piercing done for $148 with tips. $45 per ear piece, and I asked for the cheapest one, and another $30 for piercing service. I already got 15% off discount on the piercing service. I just heard from a friend that they got their ear pieces for $50 (looking bigger than mine, and the same material as mine) with service included at Adrenaline, so I feel that I paid too much money. There were no after care solution or services I received to justify for the extra money I paid. Read Less

Just had my first tattoo done here last week and was super pleased with the whole process. I get that it was my first one, so I suppose I don't have a frame of reference to go off, but everything was really smooth and I'm stoked on the piece I got. Front desk was helpful with my questions and scheduling, and Shwa was a boss when it came to the creative side. It was just a small piece, but turned out even better than I imagined. I was dead set on getting it on my ribs, which some artists/shops won't do for a first timer, but Shwa was able to accommodate, and despite some of the warnings I'd heard, it was a smooth and painless process. I just went to The Fall for my first tattoo yesterday and what a great experience! Very friendly, spacious and airy shop, not one of those tiny dark places I imagine when I think of a tattoo place. I highly recommend The Fall Tattooing. Everyone who works there is totally friendly and not intimidating AT ALL. There is always a really nice, friendly face at the front desk greeting you when you come in. I have often felt intimidated in other shops because everyone seems really ...serious and inapproachable. I LOVE this place, it's just the opposite. I'm a nervous person when it comes to needles and since this was my first tattoo I needed an artist and a place that felt groovy :) Alison Woodward was exactly the artist for me. I recently got my first tattoo here a little more than a week ago as an early birthday present to myself, and I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience. I've always wanted a tattoo as a tribute to the women in my family, but never really had the guts to follow through. After doing research on different artists extensively, I decided to go with Alison at The Fall.Right off the bat, Alison went out of her way to make me extremely comfortable with the process, and was quick to address any concerns or questions that arose. After my consultation, she came up with a beautiful floral design incorporating my favourite blossoms, along with my mother's and grandma's, all intertwined in one large bouquet for a backpiece. I put down a $100 deposit and came back two weeks later for my first session.Alison made sure I was 100% happy with the placement and sizing of the piece before starting the actual tattooing process. She was extremely thorough and ensured I was completely comfortable throughout the entire session, asking if I ever needed a breather or a coffee break. I think in total I was probably at the shop for five and a half hours, but it didn't feel that long at all. Alison's rate is very fair, and I would highly recommend reaching out to her if you want work done. Recently I got my second tattoo here and the whole process just reminded me of why I chose to get tattooed here in the first place. With skytrain malfunctions I came late to my consultation by over 2 hours and the staff was very understanding and nice. My artist (shwa) still came to talk to me and was super patient and thorough. Even though his shift was done he took the extra time out to fully hear what I had in mind and I appreciate that. On the tattooing day itself I was a little nervous as I know the ribs are a tender spot. Together we went over the design size and placement and he made sure I was as comfortable as possible, giving tips on how I can help him achieve clean lines. Overall one of the most comfortable tattoo experiences one can have. At the end we loosened up and he was wonderful to chat to. the work he did was SO clean and beautiful. Hands down an amazing artist with professionalism and great people skills Love this establishment, you can feel that all employees care deeply about tattooing as an art and profession. 10/10 Read Less

Earlier this year I decided at the age of 30 to have my first tattoo done after years of consideration. Being new ish to Vancouver I did my research on various shops and decided on The Fall. The online portfolios are great and continually updated and helped me to choose Sean to do my piece. Had a rough idea of what I wanted and some bad sketches i did when i met with Sean. He was great from the start, very enthusiastic and helped me to develop the idea. It took a few months to get in for my first sitting, but was worth the wait. With this being my first tattoo ever, Sean was great to work with and did a fantastic job. Did an 7 hour sitting  for the first one in December '14 and 2 other short sittings to finish in January. Incredibly happy with the work that was done. Have recommended The Fall to other friends and have one friend starting a piece there in the coming weeks. My only negative is that Sean is simply terrible at replying to emails, though he is very up front about that and definitely isn't a deal breaker.  All around was a very good experience and my shoulder armour piece looks great.
