What a great experience!! Boulevard Tattoo was recommended to me by a couple different people so I booked a consultation with Cody to go over my tattoo idea. The day of my appointment to actually have my tattoo done Cody had drawn me up something according to the ideas I had given him... I didn't love what he had drawn (it was going on my body permanently, I needed to love it). Cody, Jesse and I discussed it, each made some suggestions and Cody went back to the drawing board. Cam did my first tattoo, it was one of his first half sleeves. Even though I was his buddy he overcharged me and even called me back for my next sessions, saying come in and get some more work done cuz I need the money!! When I showed up to a booked appointment, he was sitting tattooing someone else and asked me to come back a few hours later, basically how all of my booked appointments went with him. he did a shit job on my tattoo and never offered to do touch ups or res...cheduled me for another appointment. I did all of my other work at a real shop with a real artist and had a great experience. it took a long time to find an artist that would touch up and fix the shitty work cam did on my arm. A good mutual friend of ours, and a close friend of cam got tattooed by him not long after me and cam showed him nothing but respect and took pictures of his work. I was there in the shop while it was being done and the respect he showed him was far greater than what he showed me. He didn't take pictures of the shit tattoo he did for me cuz I'm sure he was embarrassed and didn't step up to fix it. You would think he would be proud of one of his first pieces and take pics of it but it didn't happen. I stood by cam and had his back when he almost lost his tattoo apprenticeship for being a fuckin idiot. Yet I still got a shit tattoo and paid more than what he said and he never finished it!! So fuck you and fuck your shop, I regret ever giving you money or the trust to give me a half sleeve being an apprentice. Mr Cam Evans is hands down the nicest guy in the tattoo industry, a true gentleman tattooer. I've had lots of work by Cam and a few pieces from Cody. Top notch artists but even better people.
