Went in to get a full sleeve tattoo. Booked an appointment with geordie and left a $45 deposit. He told me to come in a week or two before the tattoo to go over the design. I go in to check the work one week before the first session and i learn from one of the staff that he no longer works there. And they cannot get a hold of him. I ask to talk to the manager. This guy named jake comes out and tells me he just up and left. So i asked about my deposit because i had the reciept of deposit and he refused to give it back. He told me that is between me and geordie. What a joke!! $45 was peanuts compared to the actual sleeve would cost. Overall. Bad experience with nothing but mediocre artists at best. Read Less

I had Jake do my leg sleeve of my family tree back in October and he blew my mind with the end result! He took my idea and exceeded my expectations in the best way possible. He made my first tattoo experience very calming and enjoyable. Best experience I've had with a tattoo shop. This is my 4th tattoo and I have never been so happy! I brought them my picture and they were very positive about it! Some places like to be opinionated about tattoos and can sometimes make you feel like they think it's stupid. I had my first appointment a few weeks ago but as I was on my way I got into a car accident and couldn't make it in. I was worried I would lose my deposit but I called while waiting for the police and they rescheduled my appointment with no problems! So yesterday I finally got to go back and get my tattoo. He drew up the basic outline and free handed the rest. The almost finished product (just need colour) is amazing! The lines are perfect. It was quick and easy. All the detail is beautiful and I can't stop admiring it. Not to mention the whole experience was great. The was Jacob who did my tattoo and another guy tattooing a different girl in one of the other rooms and they were both funny. They were joking around the whole time and telling funny stories. They play a good selection of music as well. I felt super safe and comfortable the entire time. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a tattoo!!!! Read Less

My beau got a tattoo done a little while ago by an older grumpy man (I think his name started with an R, he may own the place).  At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea of a tattoo, but now that I am used to it I quite like it.  My man is officially a bad boy now lol. The tattoo is a dragon on the side of the arm, but it isn't the same dragon you see on every swinging d*ck on the street.  It's original and has some character, kind of stares you right in the eye.  I thought I would write a review about this, as I am sure that people should leave reviews on services like this as the work is pretty much permanent. I have seem some hideous tattoos, and hopefully this will steer someone in the right direction to get a nice tattoo.Looked at some photos of some of his other work and he is really good.  There were other guys that worked there, and am not sure how well they are.  So ask for the guy with the name that starts with R (Rick, Rich or something like that).. Not to mention this place is very competitively priced at about half of anywhere else that does the same quality work.  Been price shopping and this place is definitely a winner. After my failed attempt at getting a tattoo elsewhere my girl friend found Fat City and boy am I happy she did!We were both tattooed by Gordie and he was a dream to deal with. Very calm, laid back and excellent tattooist. The price was more than reasonable and if you ask for a quote they're very good at sticking with the quote they gave you initially. The tattoo turned out amazing with very even colours and clean lines. I will definitely be back for more in the future. Read Less

I shopped around for a while before I had a tattoo done here yesterday. The tattooist that I dealt with ensured I had a great experience. He was both friendly and amazing at what he does. He was able to fit me in an appointment on my preferred day and gave me a straight up fair quote for the work we discussed. My tattoo also turned out amazing. The lines are very crisp and the ink came out great. I highly recommend this place - will come back in future for more work.
