I got a floating navel piercing done today. The shop was incredibly clean, everyone was friendly and the piercer did an amazing job! Everything was explained thoroughly and they carry great jewelry! Hands-down one of the cleanest and most professional shops in the city was in yesterday to get the start of my sleeve done by Clark one of the artist there and had an amazing experience for the four hours I was there. read some of the reviews on here and have no idea how they were treated this way in the shop the staff and the facilities are outstanding as well as the quality of work provided by the artist there. Don't bother going here. They lie about there prices, they overcharge for simple work. They all look lazy and uninterested when you walk in. Honestly I don't know how they can stay in business I'd give zero stars if I could. Update: thanks for the advice! I got my work done in a shop where I didn't have any issues with my "right now" design, they honored their quote and it was quite pleasant compared to your shop. So here’s the deal. I like American traditional tattoos. I had a design to use as a reference and went in to an other shop to talk with them about what they could do with it. The guy there looked at what I wanted and said he know who could do a great job with it. Funny thing is is that the artist worked at a different shop. He sent me to Red Loon to see David. I was surprised that someone would send business somewhere else so I figured there must be something to it. He was right. David did a get job with what I wanted. I’m really happy with how it turned out. Even stopped by the other shop to show him David’s work and thank him for sending me to Red Loon. Getting David to draw up another one for me and really excited to see what he comes up with. Also saw the work of a couple of the other artists while I was there and I was impressed by all of there work. I my option, you can’t go wrong by going there. They are all very good at what they do. I've wanted my nose pierced for sometime now and couldn't find a place that I really wanted to go to, I've had several piercing done over the years and never really cared for most of the places I went. A lot of tattoo / piercing joints are very corporate like fx (you walk in, get pierced, NEXT). Lexci (the owner of Red Loon) isn't like that at all. I walked in on a Friday (no appointment) and I was treated like a friend, no awkward small talk, hey were ya from etc. Best part they're reasonably priced, obviously it depends on the type of jewelry you pick but I think all said and done I paid $75 (before tip). There were some places quoting me $140!!!I walked in, was greeted and then Lexci came out, told me everything I needed to know regarding the piercing itself, healing, and the after care. While she was sanitizing I checked out the tattoo artist portfolios on the front table and there are definitely some very skilled artists here (highly recommend you check them out). When Lexci was ready for me she brought me to a room in the back. Now my favorite part was this room wasn't your typical white wall, surgical steel everywhere kind of room you know the one where you feel that after a piercing you might wake up missing a kidney...this room was almost...comfy. It wasn't intimidating and cold like every other room I've been in so it made the experience more relaxed.Lexci and her crew are talented, down to earth and genuinely good people. Very clean! Very excellent! I got a tattoo here recently and Red Loon is very superior compared to the majority of tattoo shops in Edmonton. The staff is very knowledgeable about the products they are using, they make you feel comfortable, and they are easy to get along with. It has a very relaxed atmosphere while maintaining a good level of professionalism. I would highly recommend going here or, at the least, stopping by to check it out. Read Less
