Lucky Strike is fantastic. So far I have received two tattoos from Julie Bauschardt and besides absolutely loving her work, I really enjoyed my experiences with the shop.The shop is situated in a charming old house in Oliver. They have a small parking lot off to the side but there is plenty of street parking if you are willing to walk a block or so. The inside is both quirky and warm. They allow the staff to make the place their own and it definitely shows.For most tattoos, Lucky Strike requires a $100 deposit that will go toward the final cost of your tattoo. They are a cash-only business so make sure you come prepared. Luckily they have an ATM on site if you forget. After the deposit, they charge an hourly rate of $160+GST.They do take walk-ins but many of their artists are quite in demand so if you have someone in mind, make sure to call ahead. Last time I was there Julie told me she was booking ~4 months in advance.Julie made sure I was well informed about aftercare and both of my tattoos healed beautifully. Based on my experiences, I highly recommend Lucky Strike for your next tattoo!

Amazing tattoo shop. Got my first tattoo and currently working on a sleeve here. The whole place is clean, very friendly, and authentic. I felt very welcomed as someone who wasn't tattooed before, and I was looking forward to each session. Amy does great work, clean lines, amazing shading, etc. She's friendly, and makes sure your tattoo is made to last and look good. I've already referred other people here who have asked about my tattoos. Can't say enough good things about lucky strike.

I've only visited one of the Tattoo artists at Lucky Strike, Brent Smith, but he was a pleasure. He is attentive to your requests and a very talented artist who ensures that your artwork is something that you will want on your body forever.
The other artists, from what I hear, carry the same level of professionalism. The building is clean, the atmosphere is light and fun as the artists are pleasant and humorous and, most importantly, the work is beautiful.

I've been to Lucky Strike multiple times to be tattooed by Julie. I've gotten some of her flash, I've gotten some custom work, a cover up, and she was nice enough to rework an old tattoo of mine that she hadn't done originally. Her technical ability is spot on, I've found that I heal extremely quickly and don't scab up, and the colours still look great years later too (though that could be attributed to my sun-free lifestyle and propensity to slather on sunscreen). Designs are always clean with good composition. I've referred other people here and they've been very pleased with the work they received. The other artists here have excellent portfolios as well. Cool venue for a tattoo studio, I love the location in a neat older house.

i finally decided on the tattoo i wanted and researched and visited several shops. I was given Scott Rusnak name at Lucky Strike and made an initial appointment with him and reviewed some of his work. I was impressed with what i saw and booked time for a tattoo. This is my first tattoo and if you are into dragons as i am this is the person you want. Scott has a lot of experience and it shows in the detail and the end result is absolutely awesome. Thanks Scott you did a great job, i will be back for another when i figure out what i want.

Yo let me tell you aboot this fucking place here! Other then the terrible brick work this place is perfect! And my tattoo artist was a sea demon from the darkest depths of hell! she was slaying tattoos like the mother fucking kraken crushing ships. She was like a team of talented Chinese children in sweat shop pumping out pure gold that is her tattoos. Julie is pure talent like everyone at this shop. Strongly recommend....other then the brick work!

Amazing tattoo shop. Got my first tattoo and currently working on a sleeve here. The whole place is clean, very friendly, and authentic. I felt very welcomed as someone who wasn't tattooed before, and I was looking forward to each session. Amy does great work, clean lines, amazing shading, etc. She's friendly, and makes sure your tattoo is made to last and look good. i finally decided on the tattoo i wanted and researched and visited several shops. I was given Scott Rusnak name at Lucky Strike and made an initial appointment with him and reviewed some of his work....

I was given Scott Rusnak name at Lucky Strike and made an initial appointment with him and reviewed some of his work. I was impressed with what i saw and booked time for a tattoo. This is my first tattoo and if you are into dragons as i am this is the person you want. Scott has a lot of experience and it shows in the detail and the end result is absolutely awesome. Thanks Scott you did a great job, i will be back for another when i figure out what i want.

Julie is amazing. I just received the perfect tattoo, from design to finished piece. I would highly recommend Lucky Strike. Very clean and a great group of artists.

Just got a tattoo done by Julie - she's an amazing artist, and amazingly fast! The atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff are very welcoming. Definitely recommend!

And my tattoo artist was a sea demon from the darkest depths of hell! she was slaying tattoos like the mother fucking kraken crushing ships. She was like a team of talented Chinese children in sweat shop pumping out pure gold that is her tattoos. Julie is pure talent like everyone at this shop. Strongly recommend....other then the brick work!
