It’s a very clean shop and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Vanessa was my artist and she did a damn good job with the design I wanted. Got my first tattoo a month ago with Landon. He spent a good amount of time with me figuring out the details of my design, gave me some things to think about and consider while he drew up the design. He had some really good advice and suggestions. Which was really important to me (I had some other consultations where the artist was just going to do exactly what I described; despite my asking for as much input as possible) I Went back for my appointment and Landon had a couple... variations done up, both of which were awesome. I have been to Crimson Empire for all three of my tattoos. The first was a simple Latin phrase and though it was plain with no embellishment, Chad gave me exactly what I wanted: crisp, clean text. My second tattoo was a Celtic forever heart and Vanessa did a superb job; I smile every time I see the precise entwining curves. The third tattoo was just completed today, and I really appreciated the time Landon took to ensure the simple memento for my mother (her year of birth and death with a heart beat in between) was delicate, lovely, and exactly what I wanted. The overall atmosphere of this tattoo parlor is incredible. You walk in and instantly feel welcomed and comfortable. I emailed and got an almost instant reply from Magick, she answered all of the questions I could possibly have had and got me booked in that same day. I was squeezed in for a last minute appointment with Alan who designed a tattoo based on the a picture of the general idea of what I wanted, which turned out to be better than the one I had in mind. Saw Chris Benson at the south location and it was nothing less than phenomenal, yet again. He's done 5 pieces on me so far and this was the largest and most awkward placement but he was extremely professional and great with everything! I was getting wimpy towards the end and he was great about getting it done quickly, efficiently, and WELL and I can't stress that enough. He gave me breaks when I needed and helped me push through when he needed. I am so so so pleased With the piece as well as the whole service. One week ago I got a whale shark tattoo done by Adrienne and I can't stop looking at it! I have a few tattoos done by different artists but never have I had a tattoo heal this quick and this good. Next to zero scabbing and no peeking. The lines are sharp and clean. I will be recommending her to anyone who asks. I worked with Greg. I originally brought in a design I had put together and he was very frank with me. The design I brought in wouldn't age well, and spent a half hour chatting with me to come up with some ideas that would work better. I then went home with no pressure to decide that day if I wanted to work with him or not. I went back a few days later with a modified design with some elements drastically. That day after a quick chat I put down my deposit. When I went in for my actual appointment he was super professional and worked well with any suggestions made the day of and took lots of care to ensure everything was lined up and properly sized. My recent visit to Crimson Empire was fantastic. The shop is fairly spacious, particularly in the lobby/waiting room. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and seemed excited, which gave a great first impression. There were many different rooms in which tattoo equipment was set up, and it looked like clients got a lot of privacy during the tattooing process. The shop was very clean and organized. I felt extremely at ease with respect to the atmosphere in general.Sheila is a very skilled tattoo artist, and took what little description I gave her and turned it into something beautiful. She is relaxed and easygoing and made getting tattooed a great experience. I am definitely interested in getting more work done by her!The two of us happened to be located next to another artist working on a client, and therefore between all of us chatting and loud background music it was a bit noisy. I've been tattooed in both noisy and quiet environments and I don't really have a preference, so this was totally fine with me. Another thing I noticed while at the shop is that other staff/artists would occasionally come by and check out what we were doing, and everyone seemed to get along. This is also something that put me at ease; it seemed that we were working in a supportive and considerate environment.
