My friend got a tattoo here awhile ago and had lexi and said she was very rude and not good at customer service but a really good artist. To be honest, I think customer service is a hell of a lot more important the artistry. The only bad reviews are about Lexi so why not change it? Definitely going to go to Atticus tattoo instead. Booked an appointment with Lexi after checking out some of her work online. Had high expectations going in there as I've heard many good things about their tattoo artists and I've also had a few piercings there. The receptionist called and asked if we could come in early because she had a cancellation. So that was no problem at all! After we came in early for her so that she wouldn't have to stay late, Lexi was so uninterested in talking to us and made us seem like we were an inconvenience. I'm sure she is a talented artist, however her customer service and communication skills are very lacking and rude. It makes sense reading her reviews now! Will not be going back. Went to Shane for a bible verse tattoo only knowing what verse I wanted and how I wanted it spelled. His script design and work was amazing my tattoo is exactly how I wanted it! Very professional and friendly artist. Also went to Anthony for a helix piercing earlier this week, Anthony was by far the best most professional piercer I've ever saw! I have 3 Tattoos by Shane, all of which are awesome and exactly what i wanted. The were cool both times that I brought 1 person with me who wanted to see what a tattoo was like. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming each time. There was one issue where they booked me on a date they couldn't do but they caught it right away and notified me of it, and considering they were so understanding when I asked them to reschedule my 2nd session twice I couldn't be upset about it. I had a couple consultation with Melissa and everything was good, she said I would see the drawing about a week in advance. I didn't see what she had drawn up until about 10am the DAY OF. Melissa denies saying that I would see the drawing that far in advance and usually there would just be some "minor tweaks". As I feared, I did not like what she had drawn up and she then told me she has a lot of other projects and "Time was not in her favour." Complete disappointment and un...professional. Went to Honor Bound Tattoos on Sunday since I had an opportunity for some forever art and they had a walk in day. I ended up having a consultation with Dan Graham. He was super flexible and we booked an appointment the next day (Monday) because he wanted to make me something with more detail. I am extremely happy with the outcome and looking forward to finishing it up in the new year with him. He was professional, kind, straight forward and again flexible for time since my schedule unfortunately can be rigid. His line work looks awesome and style is going to be a great add to my collection. Colour he could do is smooth and even which makes me excited for the rest. Also liked the fact he worked with placement. Making it look good while giving me the room for my next idea. I would recommend him and the shop. Everything clean with a nice atmosphere. This place is amazing, super chill, clean and very good vibes. Every time I have walked in the front desk girl Im pretty sure her name is Katie (sorry if I'm wrong) has be really kind and super helpful. I have been tattooed here twice both times by Lexi. Who is an amazing artist and great to work with, She really listen to my ideas to come up with my tattoos which I'm super proud of. Now before I start. I'm not saying this about the talent or any of the artists. I really loved this place and got 3 big pieces done here. The third unfortunately never got finished. After being cancelled on twice by the artist. I was really understanding... People get sick... Things happen in life. So finally... Third time for this appt..  I went in for an all day appt and the artist wasn't there. Apparently my appt was cancelled... I took the day off for it and nobody called me to cancel. I guess the weekend staff messed up. I emailed for my deposit back which I got but my time is important too and I plan a lot around those tattoo appointments just to have them cancelled. Serendipity is the word I would use when I found this awesome tattoo shop in 2015. My 1st tattoo here was with Shane DeGraaff on his sunday walk in day. He did a quick tribute piece for one of my fav bands, AC/DC. Since then Ive had 2 more pieces from Shane and they are all awsome, especially my most recent piece...a tribute to Prince. Shane's work and those of ALL the artists at this shop is outstanding. Check out their Facebook, instagram pages or the website if you dont believe me. The shop is VERY clean and the staff/artists are all super cool and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Honor Bound Tattoo to anyone. Horrid! I went in there with my cousin. The tattoo artist (Lexi) was extremely unkind, abrasive, and unhelpful. The manager observed the interaction entirely. My cousin  paid $100 for a consult to go toward her tattoo. We were so put off by their bad attitudes and negative energy that we decided to leave. We asked for the funds to be transferred to another artist or refunded. They have refused and were extremely unkind.  Do not go there! Read Less

Such great talent  wasted on bad service and uncouth environment. I'm all for supporting great art and small businesses. But this place smelled of Marijuana The artists swore and joked about crude subjects.Not to mention the attitude from a few of the staff.I was refered by a good friend. I will never go back to this awful establishment.the shifty part is the artist talked me into leaving another deposit and when I called to see.if.i can give that deposit to someone else they said nope. So these guys are the oposit of what they claim.to be scammer bound !! My consultation lasted just as long as it takes to count 160 dollars..due to an accident I couldn't make my appointment, however, I had someone that could have gone in for a small tattoo so I wouldn't lose my deposit. No chance, we would have to book another consultation and another 160 bucks..Caring about your customers and accommodating their needs is what it takes to build a reputable business..I will never return to this place. I walked in here and got a consult within 5 minutes. There was a new artist taking customers. I booked an appt and put down $160.00 cash. I changed my mind within 10 hours and tried to get my deposit back. They absolutely refused to give me my money. The artist got paid 160 bucks for a 3 minute consultation. There was no drawing done. Nothing. They don't have it posted in the shop that the deposit is non-refundable and I was not informed of this by the artist or the manager. It's on the website but I was a walk-in. Businesses should be decent, reasonable and kind towards people, but I guess "should" only goes so far when it comes to the almighty dollar.I would never return here for ANY services. Read Less

I have been going to Honor Bound for almost a year now both for laser tattoo removal and for a half sleeve to replace my twenty year old piece. First off let's talk about Bryan and his laser removal services. I had a very costly experience at another business and was wary of getting any more laser done on my arm. I sat and had a consult with Bryan and I can't even begin to tell you what a good move that turned out to be. Not only did he end up doing a much, much better job on my old piece but he did it for a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend his laser removal services if you are needing to lighten something for a cover or remove it altogether.Today I had my first session with Melissa Kirbyson on a custom half sleeve that she designed for me based on an idea that I had. Melissa is amazing as is her work!!! Throughout our 4.5 hour session she constantly was watching everything and noted very quickly when my blood sugar dropped and I started shaking. She worked to level me out and we were able to complete the job. She is a real pro and the detail shows in her work. The entire experience at Honor Bound has been fantastic from the first time I walked in for a consult until now. Due to personal commitments I have to wait until the end of the year until I can get my next appointment in but believe me I will be anxiously awaiting the finished product. Yes, the Artists there are pretty effing amazing. Yes, the shop is clean and the receptionist is nice. The only thing throughout my experience getting tattooed here was the Customer Service. When I walk into any business, its the first thing I recognize. One Artist in particular had a disrespectful way of expressing his own opinion about my specific tattoo I was getting done (I lost a close friend and it was my first tattoo) because HE didnt like it. He was very arrogant. I know, for a fact, even my own artist wasnt crazy about it, but he had enough class and respect to atleast wait until I left the shop to open his mouth about it. One thing this small business needs to understand, if they want to survive, is Customer Service. Strong Customer Service exudes all other qulaities a business needs to thrive.  The girls there were great. Offering drinks, chatting with everyone and laughing. Your customers do not pay you for your candid opinions (in this particular scenerio). Especially if they do not ask for it. Now, by no means am I saying tattoo anything arbitraily. But if a customer walks in, knows what they want, where they want it and are willing to pay you, do it and keep your own opinions to yourself. If your not even tattooing that person, dont even look at it! I lost someone very close to me, very tragically. And to be so insensitive about what that tattoo means to me, and arroganlty proclaim how much you hate it, speaks volumes about your character. I had a hard time keeping myself in check. But I did. The tattoo itself meant more to me then losing my cool. If it really bothers an aritist, maybe they need to adopt the "No Duplicates" tattoo policy for themselves and keep their mouth shut. Seriously love the work and the atmosphere there. Aside from that, I really believe this shop has potential. I hope this does get read by the owner, and taken with a grain of salt obviously. By no means does this impact my feelings towards recommending this place, but it almost did. I hope this was constructive enough to help taper off the bad aspect of this shop. Read Less
