Today was my best friend's one year death anniversary and I made an urgent decision to get a tattoo that symbolized our friendship. It was absolutely important for me to get it on this day so I rushed into the parlor for a last minute tattoo about half an hour before they closed. At first, I was heartbroken when the receptionist said there was no time, but then she called on one of the artists, Dylan. He was more than okay with with getting my tattoo done and he did an amazing job! He was incredibly friendly, and didn't rush even though he knew they were closing soon. I've been a client for about 10 years. The artists are all excellent, and able to take on any challenges you present them with. It's a relaxed atmosphere, usually a movie is playing while you're getting tattooed, which helps distract you. If you like to have a good laugh while getting tattooed, there's usually some of that going on too. Eternal image happens to be a FANTASTIC shop, with skilled artists. Yeah, you might have to wait a few weeks or months for an appointment, but hey, that tattoo is going to be on your skin for a lot longer than that! My experiences in this shop have always been positive. From what I understand, the artists book for 3 months at a time, meaning you always have a chance to book work without having to wait 2 years. Eternal Image is the shop of Scott Veldhoen who does great tattoos. My first two tattoos were done here as were many of my friends more complex pieces. Scott specializes in brilliantly coloured work, so if you have ever dreamt about having a vivid piece of art on your body, he's the guy to do it. He also has one of the, if not the, most sanitary tattoo shops in town. The standards of cleanliness here put most hospitals to shame.Prepare to wait about a month to two months as he's in demand, but he's also a very creative, nice and funny guy.
