I went earlier today to get my first tattoo, I’m 17 and I had booked an appointment with heather! She is so so awesome!! Made sure I was comfortable and was so kind! I wasn’t getting a big tattoo, it took less than an hour, but the work she did was phenomenal! It was a black Celtic symbol, and the lines are so crisp and is absolutely perfect! The shop had an apprentice staying after close, so they booked my appointment in for then. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, they were so helpful with me figuring out payment and times. Jon was so patient with my tattoo, taking as much time as needed to make it perfect for me. His level of skill is insane, he was very gentle and lighthanded while still getting the depth of shading and level of detail he needed in my tattoo. Staff was super friendly and made me feel extremely welcome for my first tattoo. I had Chris A as my artist, and although I have yet to go back to finish my tattoo, I was blown away at what he could do in 3 hours. The tattoo is super intricate and detailed and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. He is on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality and attention to detail. The studio is clean and well kept, Not like your normal tattoo shop. The staff is very professional, a receptionist greats you when you arrive, and you get brought back into a private room, they have tvs where you can pick whatever you want to watch. Environment was very clean and up to health and safety standards. Went in for a few touch ups on some old blown out tattoos, they paired me with Murray. He was amazing listened to what I was looking for and used a colour basically identical to my skin tone to sharpen the lines. I just got back from my first visit at Atticus Tattoo. This shop is amazing! I was immediately greeted with friendly smiles from the 2 ladies at the front desk. I requested a walk in appointment and was able to get in right away with Brian, one of their junior artists. Brian was excellent; professional, yet laid back and easy to talk to. Came in for a quick tattoo with my girlfriend while we were in the area, and had a great experience. We were able to book an appointment for the same day, and our artist Josh and his apprentice came up with two awesome designs based on our ideas in just a couple hours. Can't say enough good things about Josh, who was super easy to talk to, a talented artist and as professional as they come. The management was kind and warm and the environment private enough where I'd assume anyone could be comfortable getting worked on. Living on the other side of the continent may be the only thing keeping me from going back to Atticus. This shop is pretty small, but the staff are super friendly. It was clean and well lit, everything was changed between clients and had a very welcoming feeling. They were ruining quite late which was a problem, as well as I definitely recommend being super specific with your artist just so you know that you're getting exactly what you want. From the moment I contacted the people at Atticus through email, I was treated with respect and caring. If more businesses ran like this, Canada would be number one. I'm was a virgin to tattooing but excited about the prospect. My design was ready and Josh, a most incredible professional introduced himself to me with confidence and a big smile. This is someone who really likes what he does, so much so that he mentors others to become skilled professionals. The shop is super clean and organized. It is private with professional furnishing and equipment. Josh is extremely efficient with an ability to apply his talent effectively to produce crisp results. He willingly answered all my questions about not only my tattoo process but about sharing some of the culture surround the art form today. After the process he took time to review in detail the after care process, gave me his care and encouraged me to call if I had any concerns or questions. The receptionist was amazing, probably one of the most friendly people I have dealt with ever - and extremely pleasant and helpful! What did it for me was when I emailed Atticus Tattoo to inquire if they had any room for me to get my first tattoo on short notice, the receptionist contacted me back right away and was super excited that they were going to do my first tattoo. Saw Alex at Atticus for a small piece. and brought my partner in crime with me for his first tattoo. Alex was amazing to deal with! In fact the whole process was outstanding. My first contact with the shop was with Trudy, who is clearly the backbone of the shop. She booked us in, took care of getting the artwork to Alex, and was just so incredibly sweet and professional. My best friend and I got our very first tattoos yesterday with Alex. The experience was amazing from start to finish: booking our appointment was easy and quick, getting there we were offered tea or coffee from the wonderful girl who sits up front who's name I can't remember but she was amazing! Then we met Alex and all I can say is WOW, she is the best. Since this was my first tattoo I was unsure of the sensation it was going to cause, because unlike piercings taking out a chunk of skin once, I was about to get stabbed a million times instead. Once I got the rhythm of it the sensation was actually almost soothing!
