After being recommended to phone Carol about having my eyebrows feathered, I booked an appointment at her Sholl Street Salon. I'm so happy that I did! My eyebrows - for the first time in years!! - look really amazing and so natural. Carol is a true professional and really puts you at ease so you can relax and not be nervous...it really is pain free with the numbing cream! Thank you for the coffee and excellent cake by the way! When I returned 3 weeks later for my "touch up" ...appointment, I had the eye liner tattoo done as well. As with the eyebrows, the results were amazing! I was more nervous having this done....but again, Carol is fantastic at helping you relax and it was pain free....just felt like you had "wind burn" which only lasted a couple of hours. I took my friend with me on both occasions for moral support and Carol was perfectly happy for her to sit with me in the treatment room whilst I had my procedures done....so there was plenty of chat! Sorry for such a long review but I was really looking for lots of answers whilst doing my research on where to go and what to expect but found it a little hard to find all the information. So I wanted to give a detailed account of my experience. Had my eyebrows feather tattooed about 5-6 weeks ago. Carol was great and I throughly recommend her. I was really scared about what it was going to feel like but with the numbing cream you hardly felt anything. It almost felt like bru...shing your eyebrows with a rough or wire comb so just a little scratchy but nothing to worry about at all and I think I'm a wimp, so if I can stand it, anyone can. When I first sat up and looked in the mirror I was so shocked at how dark they were and thought OMG what have I done but Carol reassured me they will get lighter over the next few days. I didn't have any redness or swelling and that evening they just felt a tiny bit tender if I moved them around, couldn't feel anything other than that. Day 2 still looked dark, no pain or swelling or anything. Day 3 felt they didn't look as drastic but propably just getting used to them. I love the shape so much!! Day 4 started scabbing a little, nothing obvious, only if you looked closely. Feeling a bit itchy. Day 5 really itchy!! Making all sorts of faces to get rid of the itching as I don't want to touch them!! Day 6 few small scabs came off, lightened up a fair bit Day 7 much lighter, only a tiny bit scabby/dry skin After this they started looking much more natural and not such a block Colour but you could start to see the odd feather lines appearing. This continued on as time went on. Last week I went to have my touch up. It hurt more today, not sure if it was hormones or just that they were still a little sensitive from before (not that they were sore). Healing was all good, less itchy than previously.
