I have been going here since just after it opened and have had mix experiences although my two experiences have meant I am now in the market for a new barber. Last haircut saw me being charged $65.00 for a haircut and beard trim, whereas in the past I only paid $50.00! The increase in cost was as a result of the attendant charging me for the haircut and beard trim separately. This was a blatant act of dishonesty by the operator and I’m very unhappy! Haircut and beard trim wa...s done well by Salem! My Previous experience was one of poor communication and lack of customer focus from the owner who decided to have a staff meeting during business hours and closed the store with only a mention on their Facebook and web page. Unfortunately for me I don’t check these sites before going for a haircut! This business has great opportunity however I believe the owner would do better served if he monitored his business better and had a greater customer focus! Been going to this place for about a year now and have had many different barbers cut my hair, have always walked away with a haircut I’ve been stoked with! My son was a little wary but ended up having a fantastic experience!!! Andrew turned him from a boof head to a sleek and shiny hipster dude!! He looks amazing!!! These guys are awesome! My 14 year old autistic son often struggles with the physical nature as well as the communication involved in getting his hair cut , but his barber was gentle and patient and explained everything he was doing as he was doing it and as a result he not only got a great haircut but also enjoyed some new found independence . A week or so ago I wrote a negative comment about The Tattooed Barber, which I have since deleted and want to apologize for. I had been doing weeks of 12hr night shifts(130-150hrs per fortnight) and just wanted a hair cut to feel a bit normal but due to a busy day it could not happen. So I'm sorry. But on a positive note I have been goinig to the Tattooed Barber regularly every 4 weeks or so and cannot complain about any of the cuts I've had. Just wish I could make an appointment with a particular barber, some cuts I like better than others. Read Less

I had my hair cut by Michael and he stuffed it up. As such, I will not be going back. He does not know how to fade at all. He kept telling me that a line had to be there and tried to blame me. Never had issues previously with other barbers at this salon knowing what I want but Michael has ruined my experience. They have lost a repeat customer!!! Read Less

The Tattoo Barber was a really nice, looking place all about the experience you could tell. I was excited to get my hair cut! They did it and it was amazing the only three things that stopped it from getting 5 stars was: One of the barbers, my barber was rude and didn't offer that customer service the other barbers were doing so well. There is lots of people going to it and the waiting room is tiny with 3 chairs in a little corner near the desk, they expected me to sit in there for 30 minutes cramped up until my name was called. The barber tried to get my haircut done as quick as possible so he could get me out the door and another in, more money. So that made the experience drop a little bit but overall they were amazing place with amazing barbers, a brilliant theme and will be going back. Read Less

Great service had no appointment for my son but they said 40min wait. Which i didn't mind...I did a bit of shopping, had some ice-cream and he was in a chair getting a shear in 20mins... loved the atmosphere and all staff were great with my boy. I took my 5 and 2.5 year olds there for the first time yesterday and the boys were treated so nicely by the barbers. The boys loved the big red chairs. It is so nice to go to a hairdressers that make an effort to make a fuss of the kids. The boys were also thrilled to receive a lollipop at the end. It was such a lovely experience. The whole feel of the place is totally cool, from the wall paper and the barber's outfits to the red barber's chairs. Everyone working looked like they enjoyed their job.
