All the piercers here at absolutely amazing. They are great at making you feel at ease as well as being bubbly and friendly. I have got a few piercings here and everyone who works here is amazing and all my piercings look fantastic and I love them all. But my favourite so far is my triangle that Pete did. Following the great reviews on Google, I went here about two years ago to get a helix piercing. The lady was rather underwhelmed and not particularly helpful. Anyway, the job got done, but I thought I would probably not go back there. Well, today I did and there was a different lady who was extremely friendly and helpful. Genuinely the nicest and most professional piercing environment I've ever been in. Went in with a really REALLY big piercing problem (that I had pierced in Scotland) and Suzanne solved my problem big time. I was super anxious but she calmed me down completely and fixed me up in less than 15/20 minutes. I was concerned about a piercing so popped in whilst on holiday (I'm from Brisbane). They were happy to have a look completely free, and even provided me with salt for soaks, despite it not being a piercing they had done. I went to The Piercing Urge for installation of a microdermal (surface anchor) piercing, having read their good reviews online previously. However, I was not pleased with the experience. After punching the hole for the dermal anchor, the piercer spent a good 10 minutes trying to push the anchor into my skin. Every 30 seconds or so she would apply pressure to try and push it in, but for some reason she couldn't get it to sit right. I'm not sure why she didn't just make the ho...le bigger from the beginning when she realised it wasn't big enough (which she did after about 10 minutes), but instead she caused me to writhe in pain for a LONG time (and my pain threshold is usually pretty high). It got to the point where I literally had to move my body away from her as the pain was unbearable, and the process seemed like it would never end as she kept trying to use the same technique, which wasn't working. The attitude of the piercer was not highly professional and I did not think she was technically adept at placing these piercings (I have had them done in the past at a different clinic and the whole process took about a minute, so I could tell that something was not right). I am now concerned that after the amount of tissue damage and inflammation undoubtedly caused by this ordeal, that the piercing is also more likely to reject. To be honest, I would not return for re-do of the piercing at The Piercing Urge (or at the very least, not with the same piercer). They might be great for other piercings but I did not feel comfortable with their ability to handle more complex piercings such as dermal anchors. I got a tongue piercing by Eloise today whilst I was visiting from Scotland, she is one of the nicest people I've ever came across! She made me feel at total ease, having a bit of a laugh and I'm so happy with my piercing � I had said before how I had my tongue pierced at a different studio but wasn't overly happy with the position of it and took it out for years, Eloise made sure the position was perfect and had me look at how it was going to sit and explained why it would n...eed to sit that way. I have also had two dermals on the back of my neck done in this studio 6 years ago (can't remember the artist) when I was visiting again, one of which is still going strong! Very impressed. The female piercer here (not sure of your name I'm so sorry!!) is an absolute legend - 12/10 recommend getting any and all piercings done by her. She did a perfect septum piercing on me and was very patient with a nervous first timer, then six months later found the hole and expertly stretched it to put jewellery back in after I had changed the ring overseas and it had fallen out. I got a conch punch done by Suzanne on January 12 as she was looking for test subjects for certain piercings/procedures, Suzanne was honestly 100% excellent! Making sure the conch punch was positioned correctly (even after having to redo the markings for it a few times) and made sure I was all good before and after the procedure was done. With the studio and staff, it is obvious once you step through the door that all the staff members honestly care about the customer rather... than just filling their own pockets. The studio is completely professional and all the jewelry are up to a high grade of quality, they listen to what the customer wants and help them to the best of their ability. I'd honestly much rather travel up to Melbourne to get pierced at The Piercing Urge than go to any of the local piercing studio's in my town as The Piercing Urge has shown me from my first time being there how professional they are and how much they care about their customer's rather than the studio's I've been to in my town. I have had several piercings done here and the staff have always been top notch in terms of advice and the work they do. They've got a good selection of jewellery and there's apparently nothing they won't insert it into.One of my piercings went a bit wrong, as can happen when you're poking things through fleshy bits. As soon as I noticed I went back and their handling of it could have been lifted straight from a textbook on good customer relations.
