Went in here to get a tattoo. Very unprofessional, almost every artist is an apprentice at this shop. I was told by the owner that is was a good shop and that all artists were qualified. DONT GO HERE ABSOLUTE APPRENTICE FACTORY THEY WILL STUFF YOUR TATTOO UP. This boss clearly hires anyone seeking an apprenticeship for free labour. Read Less

This place is a joke went into get a tattoo done, spoke to a nice guy with a hat really friendly, he referred me to a Sam, it was like he didn't care about what l wanted and he was really rude, so l walked out. Bad customer service. Read Less

I had a tattoo done by Sam. I have tattoos over my body done from experience to Apprentice tattooist and this would be the worst one ever done. This guy can not tattoo at all, the skull look like a rock with eyes, he did duck a bad job, l'm going to get his tattoo lasered off. My Advice to everyone is stay away from Sam Read Less

Amazing art, ethics and service, i got my work done here and would not have had it any other way, highly recommended. each artist is advancing a particular approach to this work: line work, sacred geometry, references to popular culture, intense and considered use of colour, psychedelia and consciousness and more, these are merely some of my observations. go and create your opportunities to observe people practice their skills in the most excellent way. I've had the pleasure of being tattooed here many times, and look forward to returning in due course. The shop is small, but has a lovely feel... something about the black walls and luscious artwork to gander upon while having my flesh penetrated just does it for me. I rarely arrive with an idea, as the artists are building something for me on my leg and bum, so I end up offering mostly simple preference decisions between a couple of options. Always recommend these folks for anything you need - if one of the artists is not in to the idea, they'll happily point you to someone who will smash the piece for you! Read Less

Honestly I can't recommend a better place to get ink in Melbourne. I have over 35 tattoos on my body (most of them completed on Sydney) but since moving to Melbourne I refuse to go anywhere else but Sayagatha Tattoo. The owner and head tattooist is gentle and patient and extremely passionate about her art. She takes care in finishing her tattoos leaving a clean crisp and refined piece without cutting any corners on hygiene. The space is immaculately maintained and the aesthetics creates an atmosphere that is both welcoming and professional. All the tattooist under her (James / Matt) seem to really want to be there and share her passion for connecting with clients via their art. I have had 4 tattoos by Jess and 2 others by guest artist Oscar in the last year and I will keep going back for more. Highly recommended for first timers and quality tattoo conesseurs alike. I wouldn't ever come back here for a tattoo unless it's covering my back or something equally as big because apparently smaller tattoos aren't worth their time, and it appears they'll just take your money instead of trying to work with you.
