Asked these guys to design my next tattoo (a significant piece) and made an appointment for a 'consult' & brought along photos of my ideas, as instructed... I took time off work + travelled for this a...
Asked these guys to design my next tattoo (a significant piece) and made an appointment for a 'consult' & brought along photos of my ideas, as instructed... I took time off work + travelled for this appt, only to be told that maybe, MAYBE chris would do it. Was told not to make a deposit & to send the photos I had via fb... something I could've done without attending this appointment. Next day, I was told that Jason would design my tatt & now I have to make a deposit. However they only accept CASH, so I AGAIN have to take time off work & travel to visit AGAIN in person, to pay a mere $50 deposit. I expressed my displeasure in this fact, as it costs me much more than $50 just take the required time off work, let alone the petrol/parking/hassle. I nevertheless said I'd do it & would try to get in before Christmas. I was able to pull some strings & arrange the time off work next week to come make this deposit, so Jason would start working on the design... Only to then be told that they changed their mind & now NO ONE will design my tattoo & I should go somewhere else - with no explanation as to why they no longer wanted my business. The tattoo I want isn't a difficult piece, and I said I was open to design options... I wanted to leave it up to the artist, as my creative skills suck. Absolutely awful customer service, even sending me messages at 11 o'clock at night!! Incredibly unprofessional & lacking customer service skills.

My very first tattoo experience! We walked in spontaneously and were able to have it done the same day. The guys were so friendly and accommodating to what we had in mind. Our artist made sure we were happy with the placement and was willing to get it absolutely perfect before he started anything. I was so stoked with the result and would highly recommend the boys at Master Tattoo!

Pat was amazing, the place was plush and i was well looked after. i'm not sure why some of these reviews are so bad but art is subjective i guess. all i can say is on the day i went in i could not be happier! looking forward to getting my next piece done.

**Benny has now moved to Maid & Magpie Tattoo, and so have a bunch of ace tattooers. I'm not familiar with the new guys here, but can recommend Maid & Magpie as I've now been many times for piercings ...

I'm not familiar with the new guys here, but can recommend Maid & Magpie as I've now been many times for piercings and tatts.**Hobart used to have a dedicated piercing business called Blackbird Body Piercing who were amazing. I guess the client base wasn't so huge, so they've been rolled up into Hellfire Tattoo Studio (and are just as amazing).While Hellfire is open Mon - Sat, Benny (piercing guy) is only around Tuesday - Saturday, so if you have any piercing needs, be sure to drop in then.He is a total pro, very chilled and knows so much.Benny did my nose piercing originally a year and a bit ago. Over Christmas I got the flu and took the jewellery out to aid in snot-flow (yes, that is a thing), but when I put it back in the membrane had grown back over - so not a full hole closure, but I couldn't do it myself.I visited Benny and he re-opened the hole for me like a pro -- and at no charge. I wish I'd had cash on my at the time so I could have given him a tip or something. I'll be back again soon for some more shiny, so I will tip him then (I promise!)As far as the tattoo side goes, they're pretty great! I like Liz the best, but then I am a whimsy kinda girl. They had a flash day last year and I watched Mem R. get inked and was pleased with the cleanliness and the like.There are some pretty dodgy tattoo places here in Tas, so I'm pleased to find one I'll be comfortable going to when I next have cash for a new tattoo.

Asked these guys to design my next tattoo (a significant piece) and made an appointment for a 'consult' & brought along photos of my ideas, as instructed... I took time off work + travelled for this appt, only to be told that maybe, MAYBE chris would do it. Our artist made sure we were happy with the placement and was willing to get it absolutely perfect before he started anything. I was so stoked with the result and would highly recommend the boys at Master Tattoo!
