I took Miss 8 to see Carlo to get her ears pierced after a terrible experience we had over a year ago at a beauty franchise. Growing up that was the only place we knew where to go and I had heard terrible experiences but went anyway :( . 2 courses of antibiotics we decided to take out the earrings and grow the holes over. I decided the next time Miss 8 wanted them done we would go to a professional only but had no idea where to look in Adelaide. I found the Happy stabber online at Back Ink Time and I am so glad. Yes it hurt, yes it took longer to do then the ear guns but it was all worth it. Came in last Friday for an 8 hour tattoo session and couldn’t have had a more amazing experience. This was also my first tattoo so I was feeling pretty nervous but I couldn’t have felt more welcome and comfortable around Lucas and everyone in the store. They were fantastic through the whole process, from being informative and helpful during the initial consultation to making sure I was okay and comfortable while getting the tattoo itself. Lucas was very gentle with the tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with the end result, which is absolutely gorgeous. The shop itself is lovely and clean and tidy, with a nice chilled out atmosphere where you can relax while getting your tattoo. Everyone was very friendly and chatty, more than happy to have a conversation or leave you to your alone time. After the tattoo was done I was provided with very informative aftercare tips and the knowledge that if I had any concerns or worries with my tattoo, they were only a phone call away. I’ll definitly be recoomending them to any of my friends who want to get a tattoo as I can’t imagine there being a more welcoming, amazing tattoo place out there. I’ve been pierced many times and over many years. I’ve never been pierced by anyone as professional and knowledgeable as Carlo at Happy Stabber. Carlo was happy to offer advice, answer questions and was awesome during the piercing process itself. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. As with anything you get what you pay for! It won’t be like going to a hair dresser for a cheap piercing. Carlo’s process and dedication to his work yesterday makes you question how other people are allowed to operate in this profession. From the second I walked into this studio, I knew it was the right place to get some work done. Very friendly and honest, right from the get go. I spoke with Luke who was very passionate about the different pieces I had collected and how we could really tie the pieces together to make the perfect sleeve. Lucas, who seems to be the go to guy for any kind of ink work agreed to help bring my thoughts to reality. The direct contact he allowed me to have with himself is really what I liked. We were able to really talk and discuss all the ideas I had and get them onto paper. I originally wanted to go in one direction, but then Lucas presented me with what he had come up with from our discussions. I realized this was the direction to go in. All of his work were original pieces and designs he had come up with, specifically tailored to both our ideas and the whole theme of the sleeve. This is what I really liked about the studio, I felt that there was passion behind the work. It wasn't just photocopying any old picture and not having a personal attachment. There was love for the art from the second I walked through that door and that's what I want when I get my tattooing done. I flew over from Melbourne this weekend to get tattooed by Emilie and am so happy I made the decision to fly over. The owner Luke and all the artists were extremely accommodating (Luke even being kind enough to drop us off to our hostel and the airport) and I immediately felt at home and comfortable to spend 2 days in the studio. The studio was clean, above standard and extremely well presented. Working with Emilie on this beautiful piece was amazing. She listened carefully to my ideas and thoughts and put together an outstanding tattoo, also offering her own ideas and helpful changes that would better suit me. I had a full day with Lucas, he's a true artist and a legend of a bloke , the piece he did for me came out amazing , better than anything I've had before . The overall experience was 2nd to none , the studio was spotless , music was rad , he and his legendary wife made sure I was comfortable, well hydrated and even went and got me some sushi . There are very few tattoo studios in south Australia that successfully manage to put in place both quality artists and quality front of shop service. Bookings are quick, easy and confirmed with you- then the tattoos are next level. I get tattooed by Eloise who I would recommend to everyone (and I have) including my grandma. I got a tattoo by Sebastian and he did a really awesome job, I am so happy with it. I got a fairly bold design with lots of circles and his line work was just perfect.
