My friend and I were in Surfers for a long weekend and went to Frontline Tattoo Studio to get 1) a very intricate line piece for her and 2) two small detailed tattoos for myself. Right from the start the staff were so friendly, funny and professional. They helped us pick sizes and modify our designs to suit us and kept us up to date about our appointment via phone. One of my tattoos was on my sternum and Nick made me feel so relaxed and didn't make me feel awkward in any way which is quite a skill considering the difficult place he was tattooing. The tattoos are exactly what I want and are perfect! I'm so happy! I then sat around the shop for an hour or so waiting for my friend to finish and the whole place had such a friendly welcoming vibe. Everyone in the waiting room was chatting and swapping stories. It really was an awesome experience. This place was the full experience!!! From the first phone call right through to the aftercare service - it was incredible! The staff were accomodating to our impromptu booking for 5, were totally cool with our tardiness (sorry) and worked well past their close time to cater to the needs of 5 smelly girls who just stepped off a rugby field. We wandered in off the street yesterday, Sunday 16th July as my girlfriend was celebrating her 50th birthday and wanted something to remember this milestone so opted to get a tattoo. After some pondering and discussion she decided what she wanted and confirmed with the receptionist. This young lady unfortunately was not particularly pleasant, bordering on rude actually. My friend started to fill out the obligatory forms, one of the questions was what is the name of the busine...ss where she was getting the tattoo, my friend asked the question of the receptionist, to which the receptionist giggled and said "really, you have come in here for a tattoo and you don't even know where you are". My thought was, wow, sorry for being a tourist on the Goldy!!! I didn't meet the tattooist however my friend said she was lovely, at least that was a bonus. For what Frontline charged for this tattoo, $150.00 for 4 letters with a bit of a squiggle which took all of about 10 minutes , their customer service should be second to none. I got my sons name tattooed on my wrist a while ago (roughly 2-3 months) and I'm very unhappy with how it's turned out and for the price that I've paid. Also my partner got a tattoo done on his wrist as well and it absolutely looks terrible. Would not recommend!! Read Less

Got a tattoo by nate of a AFL carlton blues emblem not the best work i have seen from this shop compare to the last owner who done the best work i have ever seen from a artist and the other artists who worked there I've had 5 tattooos done over the years that i have been going there when i am in the gold coast . What a waste of $400 a rip off you should be a shame of yourself and i am going to let everyone one know that when they go to the coast not to go there frontline tattoo studio and get a tatt from nate just a fucking lazy tattoo work nate you should be a shame off yourself. Went in on my holiday just last week and got tattooed by Nate as did my girlfriend. It was out first tattoos and the staff were super cool and helpful and we even had a good chat between tattoos getting done. Tats turned out great aswell, super happy with Nate's design. Read Less

It was my very first tattoo, and on holiday, sowas very nervous! I walked in with a photo and they matched it 100%! The tattoo artist also gave me advise on the placement, which was beneficial to me. Yesterday was the first time I had been into Frontline and I am very impressed!! When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff member, which is always great and hard to find in a lot of places these days! My tattooist was Scarlett, who has been tattooing me for awhile now and has joined the Frontline team recently. I can not praise Scarlett highly enough for her amazing skills and talent as an artist! She makes you feel right at home and listens to what you want and works with you on your ideas. If you want an amazing piece of art on your skin, Scarlett is the one to see!!
