Booked in at Sacred Skin with Wade to do a leg sleeve. Had the consultation and we agreed on a plan, and I sent an email showing images and details of the design. Then on the day of the appointment the shop called to cancel and reschedule. A week later, the day before my 2nd appointment, Wade emailed me to cancel and book in for another consultation as he had no idea what it was I wanted looking at the email I had sent. He had completely forgot about our consultation, and had started to draw up my design the day before our appt. with no prep done in the 2 weeks between the original consult and the 2nd appt. He may be a great artist if you want a flower or a skull traced out of a book, but if you want to get a custom, personalised piece or want to have any input in the design at all I strongly recommend you stay away from this practice and the artist Wade Dunn. Wayde took my ideas, and created an amazing piece of art on my body. 1st session started with a small design, discussing ideas for the massive side piece that was to encapsulate it. 5 sessions later, and I'm in love with the piece he created. I had my first ever tattoo today with Hannah. She was amazing! She brought my idea out of my head perfectly and did an incredible job. Her attention to detail was exceeded only by her friendly manner. I was a bit nervous as it was my first tattoo but she talked me through the process and put my mind at ease. Greg the receptionist is easy to talk to and work with. Jayden and the other tattoo artists conduct their trade with absolute professionalism. My rough artistic ideas were brought to life by Jayden in a co-operative manner and I never felt forced into anything, trust is obviously an important factor between client and tattooist. The pricing was fair, even on the side of undercharging as compared to what I've heard others have been charged elsewhere. Can't go wrong here. Read Less

I got my first tattoo here years ago and to be fair - when I compare it to service and artwork I've had done elsewhere - my visit to Sacred Skin was quite an underwhelming experience. I came in for a 5x5 cm piece on my lower back. In the end it cost $350, which was $100 more than I was quoted when I booked the session. When it faded during the healing process, I was told another session to touch up and fix "misalignments" would cost another $150 - despite the fact I was originally told these services would be free with my payment for the initial session. In the end the tattoo was not how I wanted, in colour or shape - I was overcharged for something that was of inferior quality - and I felt as if the artist and staff were more concerned with finishing the job quickly than with ensuring I was happy with what was being put under my skin for the rest of my life. Welp, usually you would review a tattoo studio based on the quality of the tattoos.  Due to the service I received in liaising with the staff here, I'm unable to do so.I called and asked what the process was for setting up an appointment to come up with a tattoo design.  I was told to email through some reference pictures and they would email me back.  All good, easy done.After sending through the pictures and advising where I wanted the tattoo, I was told that what I wanted wouldn't fit where I wanted it.  Keep in mind, I had asked for something to be designed based on the references, not for direct copies.  I emailed back asking if they would be able to design something that would fit, or alternatively, if they could design something for somewhere else (I was set more on the general design than where on my body I wanted the tattoo).Nothing.  I never received a further response, either to that second email, or to a follow up email.So that's my experience with Sacred Skin.  I have since found a fantastic studio who organised a time to meet, sat down to discuss the design, came up with something that fit what I wanted and where I wanted it, came up with several different designs, and kept me involved in the process.  I absolutely love my new tattoo.Avoid Sacred Skin.
