Skin FX really went out of their way to perfect the right piece for me, even having to go back and fourth until I was 100% because I was indecisive! All done with a smile. I'm actually really confused reading the negative comment below when you legally have to sign off on all spelling and date work. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! We Went down 2 days before tattoo to book Roman numerals for our wedding date. There was another couple there getting theirs done on the same date from 2008 for their 10yr anniversary. We spent an hour getting everything sorted out the way we like it. When we arrived for the tattoo, they had thrown away everything we sorted and kept the stencil for the other couple. It was missing one letter but we assumed it was the one we planned a few days before. Af...ter the tattoo, someone noticed it said 2008 instead of 2018. We realise it is partially our fault and we went back to try to get a cover up on mine and fix my wife’s. we explained that we realise we are part to blame and that we just needed help. They were not at all helpful. Wanted to charge my wife $160 for one small line that would literally take 1 min. Was not even almost interested in trying to help me work out something to cover mine. No reimbursement was offered. We were literally blown off. If we are going to pay someone to fix it... it would never be them. Do yourself a favour and take a 5 min walk to Surf and Ink. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TATTOO PARLOUR TO ANYONE! My husband and I went to book in to get our wedding date in Roman numerals, just so happened that another couple were there getting their anniversary date in Roman numerals. We had the same date, just 10 years apart, long story short, the Parlour threw out our stencil and accidentally kept the other couples so when it came time for our appointment, we were tattooed with the wrong date. Granted we should have quadruple checked but we put faith in the artist cuz he had already organized it. When we went back to ask for help to fix it they basically just laughed and wanted nothing to do with us. Mine could easily have a tiny ‘x’ added in but he wanted to charge me another $160 for the 2 seconds work and wouldn’t even help my husband figure out a cover up idea. Worst tattoo experience either of us have ever had. Do not waste your time or money there. Do yourself a favour and walk 300m or so across the road to Surf and Ink, they were incredible in helping us fix our botched tattoos! We wish we went there in the first place Read Less

I got my 1st tattoo by Tony Ranger its in memory of my mum.I love it its fantastic. I highly recommend him to everyone.His perfurred style is horror etc but he will work with you & do what ever you like.Im going back in a week to get him to finish the rest of my forearm.I wont get tattooed by anyone else he is a true artist. I wanted to get a tattoo in memory of a friend who had just passed away and I was only in Qld for a week for her funeral. My daughter had got an amazing tattoo done at Skin fx last year so I knew they were good. I was able to get in at short notice with Wayne. I got a rainbow feather on my back and it looks incredible. I'll preface this by saying I'm an absolute wuss, and although I have 15 tattoos, none have taken longer than 90 minutes.So I said to myself I'd never get another wrist tattoo again, well now I remember why. I had a small plane tattooed by Luke on my wrist - and it killed! But it also only took 10 minutes at most, so I'll stop my whinging now! A friend and I were a walk in after she'd read good reviews about Gold Coast tattoos / Skin FX. The lady on the front desk was lovely, and quickly gave us a quote, and printed the work we wanted done.The studio is extremely clean, everything was new (as you'd expect) and everyone is friendly - the photos of work around the shop all look pretty amazing (but then you wouldn't display it if it wasn't) I warned Luke how I don't handle pain, and he got to work. Very happy with my "tiny tattoo", and I'll go back next time I'm in QLD wanting ink. Cost was $110 (shop minimum), which is decent considering some of the prices you see some days in Australia (unfortunately nothing like the $60 minimum I had in Austin, TX)The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is I didn't have custom worked designed, and I think that's the real test of an artist (well that and cover ups!), so don't want to give anyone false hope just yet!
