Very happy with my experience at Brisbane tattoo. After finding the details of the shop online I emailed Turtle with a basic idea of what I was looking for I was very impressed with how responsive/quick he was to get back to me and we made a time to go in and that weekend to have a better chat about what I was after. Turtle was very welcoming when I got there and we had a great chat about the design I was after he was completely honest with me about what would work and what wouldn't work with what I had in mind and his excitement about what I was looking for made me more open to suggestions for the piece. After leaving the shop turtle continued to have amazing correspondence through email replying generally within minutes to anything sent through and he had the first part of my sleeve design (which I loved the idea he came up with) drawn up the very next day so we booked it in for that weekend. Come to the day of tattooing I arrived at the shop and Turtle was all organised ready to go so we got straight into it. We spent 5 and 1/2 hours working on my sleeve and the whole time I didn't feel uncomfortable at all he was very open and I found it really easy to talk to him instead of sitting there not talking like I have in previous tattoo shops I have been too. Overall I would definitely recommend turtle to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about the work they do and who takes extreme pride in the art he is presenting. I can easily say that in all the tattoo shops I have had work done in over the last 15 years Brisbane tattoo by far is the most professional and welcoming and do not mind at all driving the 2hrs i have to there because of the high quality service I receved is well worth it. I sent him the artwork and after he was finished, my Torres Strait piece was so much better than what I thought it could be! If you are looking for a puppet this is not the shop for you. This shop actually cares about what you are getting done and if he doesn’t like it he will tell you why. I got my second piece done at Brisbane Tattoo and what I can say is that it was a wicked experience from start to finish. Despite me just walking in (email ahead of time folks) I was treated well and told to send an email reference through. The correspondence back and forth was quick and professional and the design I got back looked even better than the reference pic. On the day the atmosphere was relaxed and being a private studio it allows you to just chat and listen to the awesome tunes blasting in the shop. The tat looks better than I could have hoped for despite some tough sections (which Turtle nailed) and I'll be proud to show this one off. Received my first tattoo from Emma over the weekend. I am lost for words at how amazing the experience was. The work I had done was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I was after. Sent in my request and got a very quick reply. Talked about what I wanted and where. Turtle drew up an amazing piece and we booked in an appointment. Rocked up and loved the atmosphere, quick prep and straight into it. He is a great bloke who loves his work and good to talk to throughout the session. Had a couple breaks to split up the hours, he used new brand new needles and wore gloves which kept everything clean. The hours flew by and the tattoo came out looking amazing.
