I went to get my helix pierced, and was a little nervous about what this would entail. The staff were amazing. They made me feel completely comfortable, made sure I understood what the process was, and were generally just funny, lovely people. I had a great experience and can not recommend inner vision highly enough. If you’re wondering whether to get a piercing, or tattoo, just go and talk to the guys at inner vision. For my first tattoo, I was looking for online recommendations, and went to some other "highly recommended" studio, but they were too booked; so I decided to drop by the "Inner Vision", where I did a piercing two years ago. My experience with piercing with them was great, back then, and now - (again!) I was smitten by their great caring attitude. Seriously, their attitude is something to behold! They've paid much more attention to my tattoo design idea than in the first studio; the artist worked and discussed and sketched with me patiently, and they were immediately available, and the price was even a bit lower! I dropped by and had a consultation with Mimi as I wanted a large(ish) custom piece on my arm. ALL the staff were superb, friendly and knowledable. I came back the following day to get (my beach scene) done and after several hours work, Mimi created something with light and shade which looks absolutely stunning; what a supreme artist - seriously, this was not your average out of the book number - raw skill and talent, I am a grown man, yet could literally cry the result was so special. What a find this place is - I simply cannot recommend it highly enough; the laid back vibe, the lack of pressure, the interpretation of my ideas, and the value for money! I am visiting Sydney from the UK and a local friend suggested I look it up - it really is just a special place filled with special people who clearly love what they do. We had some time to kill before our flight home.. we called just after open and mimi fitted us straight in.. only 20c to 50c coin size crowns.. that wouldn't sit well with some of the local guys at home but everyone I mean everyone in the shop was more than lovely and we had a great time !! Piercing service used only. Highly professional piercer. Very clean technique. If you do have high pain tolerance, then make sure they don't stop piercing and just do it all at once. If they take the needle out to give you a break, chances are, subsequent pierces will not be aligned properly. That is what happened in my case. I came in on a Sunday morning with a little weird request; please make my Springsteen autograph permanent! I had gone to a Bruce Springsteen concert the night before and he signed my right arm. Even though it was signed using a permanent marker, it had already begun to fade so I didn't give Flex an easy job. She did an amazing job, working on the existing signature using a photo as back-up. She wasn't given an opportunity to express her artistic talent, but it meant a lot to me that she agreed to the job and really went all in. I had wanted a Sprinsteen signature for years and I was so happy with the result, it turned out way better than I hoped for! Read Less

Sat through a 7 hour session and Flex skipped her lunch break to get the piece right for me. Super appreciative of the work and experience! I've never felt more at ease and comforted getting a piercing done like I did coming here. LJ did my piercing and was unbelievably knowledgeable, professional, meticulous and confident. She explained the entire procedure to me and was very calm and precise. It was a very clean environment also, lots of glove wearing and disinfect cleansing. She gave concise instructions and advice on post piercing care. It was $105 for the pair piercing, including jewellery. I don't know the what usual going rate for piercings are but I found this reasonable. They only accept cash here, but there's a next door pub you can get cash out from like I did when I found out. Essentially I was a walk in customer because I had originally intended to go to a piercing parlor in Newtown but their customer service was so bad and unwelcoming over the phone I ended up cancelling my appointment on the way there and calling up Inner Vision instead. The guy who answered was immediately friendly and accommodating telling me to turn up whenever. Customer service here was top notch. The interior is interesting as well kinda of a budding tattoo museum in the works, so lots of funky things to stare at whilst getting your piercing/tattoo done. I recommend this place and will go back here if I feel the need for more piercings! Read Less

Tattooists are great and well, not that I even expected them to be friendly, but they do the job and they do it well. I'm not thrilled by the chick in the front though. Sorry I'm not covered in tattoos, but that didn't mean she can be condescending, and roll her eyes at me. Also, sorry, but glad wrap is NOT dressing. Gauze is dressing. Would you go in for surgery and have glad wrap put on your stitches? No. So, when I say oh, I've just got glad wrap on it, there's really no need to roll your eyes.Anyhoo, mini rant. Maybe she was just having a bad day, and honestly if I were going to get any more tattoos, I'd go back there. I wouldn't trust any other shop to touch me. Read Less
