Whenever someone sees my tattoo, I can bet the skin it's printed on that the very first thing they'll say is, "Did it hurt?!" And every time my answer is, "Nope, Kaleidoscope was awesome." Mind you, the low pain factor probably has as much to do with the fact that my tattoo is actually tiny as how great my tattoo artist Rin was, but still, I stand by my statement! I'd been thinking about getting this tattoo for years, so I certainly had a lot of time to do my research. After chatting to a bunch of body-art-lovers and scanning a few online forums, it seemed like Kaleidoscope had a pretty good reputation. So I booked my consultation, went it with my little drawings and, a few weeks later, I was sitting in the chair with a needle inserting ink into my skin. (You can imagine how much my mum loved that idea.) The studio is really well organised and clean, which gives you good piece of mind when you're waiting for the first jab. I was pretty fussy with everything - I wanted it as small as possible and in a very specific spot on my wrist - but Rin was really patient with reprinting the outline again and again until I was 100% happy. And when it came time to actually drawing the tattoo, she did it perfectly. It didn't take long or cost much, and it healed fast enough for me to be able to hide it from the family when I went home that Christmas - win-win-win! Read Less
