As everyone before me has posted, the people here are super nice, the shop is super clean and some of the talent in this place is unbelievable. My only negative thing would be my tattoo. The guy who did it was super nice and as much as he wasn't bad, he clearly wasn't the best at realism which is what i wanted. He was chosen by the receptionist because he was good at waves. He was good at that part and even put his own spin on it, which looked great considering the waves take up 2/3 of the design. The rest for me though is pretty... below average. It's fixable, but it's still annoying because now i have to find someone who can fix it. For anyone reading this i would still suggest going here, just make sure you get someone who is actually comfortable with the design, not someone who clearly hasn't had experience in the particular style of tattoo that you want, but claims they are confident with it. The artists are amazing, talented and friendly as is Rose who goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and welcome when booking and during your session. After desperately searching for a tattoo place last minute Kaleidoscope Tattoo was my light at the end of tunnel. I came in on a Sunday thinking I can Make an appointment and come back but they got two of my tattoos done that same day! I was in and out of there within a hours. Had my first tat done there a few years ago. Tattooist nearly an hour late for job. Tattoo beds out back taped together as split with age. Tattoo smudged looking. I hope they have improved over the last few years, I was very surprised they were still going and hadn't been closed down. Read Less

Had my second tattoo done here with Ollie. Within a week of our consult she already had my design drawn up and ready to get tattooing. I am over the moon with the quality she managed to produce and would recommend her to anyone look for a neo-traditional tattoo with amazing detailing. Great Shop and folks. I was thrilled with everything about this visit from the beginning communication with Cat over email from the US to the folks in the shop and finally the work done by Maija on a great custom tattoo. They are easy to work with...professional...hours are geared toward the client and it is a fun shop. I strongly recommend this artist who has talent way beyond the piece she did for me and is also, and not to be taken lightly, a good person. Whenever someone sees my tattoo, I can bet the skin it's printed on that the very first thing they'll say is, "Did it hurt?!" And every time my answer is, "Nope, Kaleidoscope was awesome." Mind you, the low pain factor probably has as much to do with the fact that my tattoo is actually tiny as how great my tattoo artist Rin was, but still, I stand by my statement! I'd been thinking about getting this tattoo for years, so I certainly had a lot of time to do my research. After chatting to a bunch of body-art-lovers and scanning a few online forums, it seemed like Kaleidoscope had a pretty good reputation. So I booked my consultation, went it with my little drawings and, a few weeks later, I was sitting in the chair with a needle inserting ink into my skin. (You can imagine how much my mum loved that idea.) The studio is really well organised and clean, which gives you good piece of mind when you're waiting for the first jab. I was pretty fussy with everything - I wanted it as small as possible and in a very specific spot on my wrist - but Rin was really patient with reprinting the outline again and again until I was 100% happy. And when it came time to actually drawing the tattoo, she did it perfectly. It didn't take long or cost much, and it healed fast enough for me to be able to hide it from the family when I went home that Christmas - win-win-win! Read Less

Kaleidoscope Tattoo and piercing studio in Bondi is one of the better and friendlier studios in Sydney where you can get some great art and good piercing at a fair price for the quality and service you get here. If you've never been in before the presentation of the artworks done by each artist that are fixed to the wall are easy to browse through and make it that much easier and faster to browse than the folders and books you'll usually find in other tattoo parlours.  The prices here are very reasonable for the quality of work too, you'll find the prices next to each artwork on the poster sleeves against the wall although it is recommended you check at the front desk to see if any of the prices have been updated. Really like the tribal designs here, some of the better work I've seen from a few of the other studios I've been to before. Read Less
